HR Generalist

JOB SUMMARY:

This role will provide hands-on generalist support to designated client group, assisting managers and associates with daily HR needs. Support the HR department in the roll-out of programs and initiatives across multiple areas including associate relations, performance management, training, engagement, compliance and data analysis with a particular focus on driving HR excellence, process improvement and building a positive work culture. Serve as valued partner to the field through cultivating relationships with site management and recommending solutions and new approaches that align with business goals and maximize workforce effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Serve as first point of contact on HR needs for associates and managers for one of our client. Answer questions and provide support on all HR related issues including but not limited to PTO/sick pay, interpretation of company policies and legal compliance

· Advise, coach and guide managers on performance issues, disciplinary action, termination requests, and other associate relations activities

· Conduct investigations and document findings and recommendations. Assist with EEOC/legal claims

· Collaborate and partner with associates and managers at multiple levels, HR team members, and other functional areas within the organization

· Evaluate and improve current HR processes to ensure maximum service delivery and improved operational effectiveness

· Facilitate the deployment, delivery and change management of existing and new HR programs, processes and policies to ensure business understanding and adoption

· Resolve associate concerns in a timely manner and in a way that builds trust and credibility

· Assist with other Generalist duities, as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business or related discipline

· 3 or more years of experience in Human Resources, ideally within large, rapidly changing organizations

· HR Certification a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Effective communicator (verbal and written) that can present findings and gain agreement on recommended solutions and outcomes

· Organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks effectively

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Acts with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality at all times

· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

· Strong collaboration skills to effectively partner with internal stakeholders

· Intermediate technology skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude toward new software
